“ Simply put, the best Eggs Benny I’ve ever had. It makes me sad that my hometown favourite from my teen years (Michael’s Off Main, Courtenay) has been dethroned, yet excited I can continue to get the new top choice. Their unique take with a fresh, moist, tender yet crisp biscuit is the star of the dish. The house made bacon jam and melted halloumi, with fried tomato, was the icing on the cake. Everything about the Benny is executed perfectly, both the egg yolks had that ideal jammy consistency, and the hollandaise was creamy yet not heavy. If I had to critique one thing, the oven roasted hash could have been a bit crispier, but when topped with their house made spicy ketchup it didn’t really matter. ”

“ Delicious breakfast with friendly service! Loved the casual relaxed atmosphere too. This cafe offers beautifully baked treats and dishes with generously sized portions. I absolutely loved my Basted Baker Hash. It’s like a warm breakfast salad with roasted peppers, mushrooms, pickled purple cabbage, crispy basted potatoes and a poached egg on a bed of fresh spinach. It was both delicious and beautiful! We also enjoyed an apple pie and a slice of carrot cake to go. I highly recommend this cafe!! ”

Coffee is made with love and presented with a great care. Full brunch menu available featuring eggs bennies, huevos rancheros, bowls - everything is made in house from scratch. ”
“ Didn’t think I would enjoy the food that much since I’m not a fan of poached eggs but I was wrong! Everything about my meal was great but a little messy so I opted to just eat with a fork and knife! Definitely get a side of hashbrowns too they are great! ”
